The struggle for a title continues to be very real, no matter how long I continue this blogging shenanigans. If any of you have been here since the start, you will know I can never produce a normal title; one of my loveable quirks I suppose eh? I believe the last blogging return post title was in the form of a well known Eminem lyric, I’ll let you figure that one out yourself. Regardless, here I am, back again in word form! Hello lovely people of the interweb! I hope you are all doing well and are feeling peckish for some across-the-screen-shopping! I must admit that I myself have been very naughty this month in the clothing department, buying absolutely everything that catches my eye for more than two seconds. This is good in a way as I am rediscovering my love of all things fashion, but I must say that my bank account ain’t too happy about it… Regardless, I’m happy so hey ho – lets see a few things I picked up shall we?
It took me all of my might to not name this post ‘Winter Is Coming’, but then I realised that that metaphorical winter which includes white walkers, the night king, and undead dragons is already here. That simply isn’t the case in real life, Winter ain’t here yet, although you bet I wish I had me a real life Jon Snow. Anyway… That slightly off topic intro leads me in no related way onto the true focus of todays blog post – jumper weather is almost upon us, and I love me a jumper.
Hello there everybody! Another day, another outfit. This one is one which I wore on my boyfriend and I’s 2 year anniversary; how time flies! Anyway, I’m not going to lie to you, I felt quite ‘fly’ and so I simply had to show you. Can you tell that I really do struggle with what to name each OOTD? I’m being completely and utterly genuinely when I state that ‘BROWN BITS’ is the best I could come up with. Let’s swiftly move past that and get into the outfit…
Shoes. Everyone loves shoes! Right? Wrong. I used to hate shoes, or rather could never afford nice shoes. I was the girl who had 3 pairs of white, grey and black Primark plimsoles and that was me for two years. However, thankfully as I have grown older I have slowly accumulated a rather nice ‘capsule’ collection of shoes I can pull out for any occasion. Of course, I haven’t included my few pairs of heels and such because frankly, I very rarely wear them! These are the shoes I get cracking use out of, hopefully it gives you a wee bit of shoe-spiration.
Hello lovely people! If you are unaware, I am currently working at John Lewis Newcastle within the womenswear department. This really does open some rather fashionable doors, one of which, was a fabulous wedding fair at Alnwick gardens, hosted by the wonderful La Di Da magazine. I got to get myself dolled up in an expensive dress I can not afford, play with wedding dress’, and have lovely wedding chats with lovely members of the lovely public – can you tell I had a lovely time?
Can you tell from the title that I’m rusty on this blogging ‘shpeel’? Well I’m going to be getting the oil out on regular occasions from now on to try and loosen things up and get myself back on that wonderful blogging band waggon. I used to absolutely cherish my blog back in its hay day; my life has changed one hell of a lot since then, but I want my blog to return as my one happy constant – So I am back, how are yi?
Hey chums – so I did something recently… It was completely out of character and it brought me slap bang out of my comfort zone; but I am so glad that I did it. I took part in a charity fashion show which was in partnership with John Lewis raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and it was blooming amazing!
I was a model in the show, something I didn’t think I would ever dream of saying in a million years. A year ago, you wouldn’t have caught me walking in front of 10 people, never mind near 150! I would have run away from that opportunity the second I knew about it because I would be scared of a) what people would think of me, b) if I’d make a fool of myself, and c) what people would think of me x2. I have grown so much in this last year, and I have learnt to literally not give two shindigs of what other people will think – and my life has improved dramatically with that mind set!
We were all dressed in clothes from new collections from different brands sold in John Lewis. From Ted Baker, Coast, Whistles, French Connection and so much more, it was like a dream world of beautiful clothes that were completely out of my price range! For example, I was put in a beautiful off the shoulder black jumper… It was £200. A £200 jumper (What?! I know.). Of course, I wasn’t complaining; I got to strut my stuff in some stunning pieces (my monochrome floral midi skirt was my personal fave.) with two of my best friends, Gurveen and Lib, who I’m also showing you below as they look absolutely fabulous.
The event itself was a raging success, raising over £2,000 for teenage cancer units within the North East , I was very proud to bring myself out of my comfort zone for such a brilliant cause. Well done to everyone who made it possible, it were brill.

Hell chums! I’m returning to the humble OOTD post as a tribute to London Fashion Week, which is happening as you read! This look was one which I wore on my trip to London last week (feel free to watch my vlog here!) and the pictures were taken in the very trendy hotspot – Brick Lane!

I must say, I absolutely adored this look. Whenever I visit London I feel like I can experiment slightly more with my outfits, and I pair things that I wouldn’t have the guts to in everyday life. For example, I had never worn this coat with a skirt before this day, and now it’s my favourite way to wear it! It shows that it’s worth just taking a leap and throwing some things together and just giving it a go – you never know what you might conjure up.

Please excuse my face in this one, it was just a good one to show off the details of the outfit – forget the face! It’s all actually extremely basic, but that’s what I like about it as I feel despite the plain-ness of each individual piece; the outfit as a whole flows very well.
