Product Preach – SophDoesNails X Makeup Revolution Collaboration.

Beauty

Hello lovely people! I hope you are all doing well! Although I am ridiculously invested in the world of YouTube, I’m not one to physically invest in every single collaboration within the web. I often find them over priced, over hyped and corporate feeling, with a clear lack of personality and effort. However, obviously (from the fact I bought both elements!) I saw a clear difference within the SOPH X MAKEUP REVOLUTION collab, and I will tell you for why in this very post.

I have been following the lovely Sophdoesnails for a solid few years now and I really do respect that throughout her growth she has remained faithful to drugstore brands. So many youtubers hit the big time and forget their roots completely, no longer owning ANY ‘peasant priced’ items, whereby their cheapest product is their £18 lip balm. Well Soph is definitely poles apart from these people; I’m so impressed by her collabing with a high quality, yet AFFORDABLE brand, reflecting her morals perfectly!

Let’s start with the eye shadow palette; anyone who follows her closely will understand it’s clear she’s been closely involved with picking out which shades will be included, and as the shades she likes are reflected by so many young ladies (including my basic self), I think this palette is perfect for the masses. Predominantly containing warm tones such as your browns, oranges, reds, pinks, (I could go on) with some unique shimmer shades also thrown in for good measure, it’s an absolute makeup staple with so much variety – the opportunities and looks are endless!

For just £10 to get this many shades, a mirror, (which may I say is massive and my saviour on a daily basis) I will be honest I was expecting the quality to be compromised. While of course it’s not going to be £38 NAKED palette quality, I was pleasantly surprised for sure! There is good colour pay off, they blend really nicely and for the price I genuinely cannot fault it!

Next, the highlighter palette; gals, this is Soph we’re talking about, of course there was going to be a highlighter palette. And you bet it didn’t disappoint either.

I must admit this is my first highlighter palette in my collection, as I normally stick to either individuals or sets that sit alongside a blush and bronzer. A palette dedicated to glow excites me in itself, never mind that they are bloody fabulous!

Regardless of the fact I am a pale lady myself, I really appreciate that Soph has made the effort to be inclusive in her highlighting colour selection, ranging from bright whites to rich bronze, she’s really catered to every skin tone out there. It makes for a very diverse, creative palette; letting makeup lovers run wild with the purple and pink shade, as well as experimenting with their opposite skin tone colours possibly as eyeshadows(?), the possibilities are endless! They glow for the gods that’s for sure, and did we expect any less?

In conclusion I honestly can’t recommend these enough; together they cost £18, which is less than most eyeshadow palettes, it rivals Morphe (£22) quality for sure, and the eyeshadow alone is more than half that price – what are you waiting for?! Get them now!

I hope you’re all doing well, I am chuffed to FINALLY be able to say I have purchased a much better laptop, so JUST JOLIE will be coming back with vengeance; both in blog form and moving image…Youtube! If you aren’t already subscribed over there please be sure to do so, to make sure you don’t miss my videos! I’ll be back folks!
